Comparison of heating elements with different coatings

Titanium Products Ltd. was formed in 1990 to supply non-standard welded CP Titanium tube for the water heater element market.

WatStech Ltd. conducted comparative trials under controlled conditions of heating elements coated with either titanium or nickel. Heating performance, power consumption and rate of scaling was tested. Also the physical nature of scale formed was examined using an electron microscope.

Findings are now being used in client’s promotional literature.
